Sunsets were the worst…

The Tears in Midnight is the fourth book in the Enforcers’ Legacy series and this is Arsen’s story. Those of you who have read the first three books know that, in every lifetime, Arsen and Katerina have had a stormy relationship. In The Danger in Justice (book three) we learn that Katerina had crucial information for solving the centuries old murder of the Calata member known as Four, and because of that, her relationship with Arsen was nearly destroyed.

Can they find that love again?

I am working hard on the manuscript and at this point I hope to have it ready for release in November or December–I’ll be sure to keep you updated on the progress.  It seems I always think I write faster than the reality, and Arsen’s story HAS to be right.

Here is a tease from the first chapter.

Sunsets were the worst.

Most people loved sunsets and would stare at the sky, mesmerized. It could take an hour while the blood-red sun seemed to think about it, hovering over a horizon traced with gold. But when the decision was made, the sun didn’t hesitate. It ran, dropped like a stone while the memories remained behind, lost in lilac and orange with nowhere else to go. Throw in an ocean, Katerina thought, with white sand and rushing, foamy waves, and it was damn near perfect.

Until you remembered how the sun ran.

I love hearing from readers! I want to know what you love, what you hate, what you want more of in these stories. I write what the Muse puts in front of me, and I try to do the inspiration justice. But readers are part of the equation, too!

And check out some of the reviews! I am so humbled… and the same time I’m excited and energized to write the next story. Thank you for these great validations!

From Grady Harp, Amazon HALL OF FAME TOP 100 REVIEWER, on THE DARKNESS IN DREAMS:

“Sue Wilder…knows how to handle passionate encounters in the moment and enhances that ability with creating her concept of past loves in past lives with a keen since of credibility.”

SOUR SUGAR left this review for THE FIRE IN VENGEANCE:

“A must Read. The characters were believable, the locations gave me a chance to get a feel for the location. I just bought book 3. You won’t want to put this book down.

So until next time… be careful what you dream–it just might be true!

Sue Wilder lives in the Pacific Northwest. She first discovered the power of story as a child living in California, when she was caught starting a grapefruit war in a neighboring orchard. Through an imaginative explanation, she managed to absolve all her cohorts from guilt, and has since moderated her behavior. She now writes romantic paranormal fiction for a more mature adult audience.
